Here's my 7. For now. Although I'm getting more locked in. I know some will disagree but it's not all need/value, it's also players I want on the team.

1a - Cameron Jordan. He seems more likely to be there than Watt and he doesn't have the agent problem.

1b - Mark Ingram. RB goes from thin to a position of strength. Other choices : Pouncey (he'll be gone), Watkins, Wilkerson, Heyward, Castonzo.

2a - Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph gets a year of learning under Crumpler, Bill loves his TE and Gronk, Rudolph, Hernandez long term is his dream come true. Other choices : Solder, Carpenter, Reed, Leshoure, Houston, A. Williams.

2b - Allen Bailey. Not sure exactly how we'd play him but he's versatile, a good athlete and a good worker. Other choices : R. Williams, Ellis, Taylor, Sheard, Ijalana

3a - Will Rackley. Seems to fit the sleeper/high upside types we often draft in the 2nd-4th rounds. And fills a big need. Other choices : Little, Hankerson, Jenkins, C. Brown, D. Thomas

3b - Clint Boling. Another Patiots type OG, I would possibly look for a Tackle here depending on if they think they can re-sign Mankins and depending how they like the current OG but we need more depth there if Mankins will be leaving. Other choices : Gilchrist, Vereen, C. Carter.

4 - Greg Romeus. Got to take a shot at an OLB at some point. For obvious reasons he could be a sleeper. Other choices : Fusco, Black, Todman.

I beefed up the OL and Front Seven considerably, treated myself to an upgraded RB and completed the long term TE position. And there isn't a player on the list of seven that Bill won't enjoy coaching every day. No slackers, no bad attitudes. I would have liked to get a WR by this point and an upgraded backup NT.

1a - Cameron Jordan. Yes Please. My Pick @17

1b - Mark Ingram. Double yes. would love to get him.

2a - Kyle Rudolph. Less sure about having two Gronks. I'd rather take Hankerson

2b - Allen Bailey. Yes, yes, yes!

3a - Will Rackley. Him or Boling here - not sure Boling falls to 3b.

3b - Clint Boling. Like I said, I'm not sure Boling falls this far. Carpenter if he falls, Jah Reid otherwise.

4 - Greg Romeus. Fine with this pick, plenty of upside. Cliff Matthews or Karl Klug otherwise.

Very good picks, one of the best I've seen and less formulaic than other Pats mocks I've seen.

I like some of your alternate choices.

1a JORDAN
Yup, I've also reached the conclusion that I want Jordan with no second choice.

1b WATKINS
I don't think that Ingram is that much better than LeShore. Besides, Watkins in the flexible OL help we need.

2a LESHOURE
My personal choice would be Reed, but I don't think that Belichick will draft an OLB here. I like Rudoplh but I think that he will be gone, and the quality is there at RB and OLB, more serious needs.

2b BAILEY
Belichick will find a role for him.

3a ELLIS or GILCREST (db)
We need a backup NT and a backup S

3B BOLING
A fine choice.

4 ROMEUS
I'm fine with taking a chance on this potential stud.

I don't disagree but there's certain players I want on this team and Ingram is one of them. Nothing against Leshoure or Ryan Williams, both of whom I like, but when the going gets tough I want Ingram in the huddle.

I loved having McCourtey and Gronk (and others) added to the team last year and went out of my way to pick guys I am 99% sure will be Patriots Players, not just football players on our team.

1a - Cameron Jordan. GREAT PICK!
1b - Mark Ingram. HATE THE PICK
2a - Kyle Rudolph. HATE THE PICK
2b - Allen Bailey. GOOD PICK
3a - Will Rackley. GOT TO BE Boling here. He will not make it to 3b.
3b - Clint Boling. LIKELY TO BE TRADED
4 - Greg Romeus. GOOD PICK

I'd prefer:
17 Anthony Castonzo, T
28 Muhammad Wilkerson, DE
33 Phil Taylor, NT (drops owing to foot injury/character)
60 Clint Boling, G
74 John Moffit, G/T (can play C)
92 Greg Romeus, OLB
125 Joe Lefeged, SS
160 Anthony Sherman, FB
193 Ugo Chinasa, OLB
FA Josh Thomas, CB
FA DeAndre Brown, WR
FA Brandon Saine, RB
FA Richard Sherman, FS
FA Will Yeatman, TE/T

This analysis make no sense to me. Jordan is a GREAT PICK. Castanzo is not.

1a - Cameron Jordan. GREAT PICK!

I'd prefer:
17 Anthony Castonzo, T

Like the draft. I almost laugh at the thought of taking Kyle Rudolph. Although I must admit I'm rather intriqued by the idea of shifting one of either Gronk or Hernandez into wr on certain sets. I wonder if they could find a way to utilize 3 te's? No question on his talent but there might be another need to address.

Boling is fine but like someone mentioned I don't think he is lasting until 3b. They'd have to go earlier. I can see them taking Jah Reid out of Central Florida suprisingly early. He's gaining huge ground by the awesome pro day which the Pats were in attendance for.

At this point I think just about every fan of every team wouldn't mind taking a chance on Romeus. he's one of the most popular late 3rd through 5th round picks.

Good job, some good players there.

Simple really - like Cameron Jordan but hate Mark Ingram pick. Therefore, I'd rather have the combination of
17 Anthony Castonzo, T and Muhammad Wilkerson, DE at 28 since these are positions of greater need than RB and I don't think a top T will be there at 28

I'd prefer:
17 Anthony Castonzo, T
28 Muhammad Wilkerson, DE
33 Phil Taylor, NT (drops owing to foot injury/character)
60 Clint Boling, G
74 John Moffit, G/T (can play C)

FA Brandon Saine, RB
FA Richard Sherman, FS
FA Will Yeatman, TE/T

Very nice mock! I like this a lot.

Castonzo at #17. Does this mean Light leaves as a FA?
Wilkerson at #28 is an ideal 5 technique that projects very nicely in our defense. needs to get stronger.
Taylor at #33 projects very well in our defense. Can;t believe the JETS would pass on him.
Boling - Best pulling OG in the draft and we like to pull our OG's, plus he is extremely position versatile.
Moffitt = nasty. I like nasty!
Romeus - needs a medical red shirt year, if the doctor's say OK, he could be worth a flyer.
Lefeged - fast, not much in run support.
Sherman - can he play ST?
Chinasa - can he set the edge?
