I am not considering the strong chance that New England will trade down for extra picks so barring no moves right now (which is unlikely) here is my take on possibilities the Patriots go by way of the draft......
Round 1 - Dominique Rodgers Cromartie CB (Tenn St.)
Maybe not the best CB in this draft but I think BB once again does the unexpected and takes the kid from the tiny school.
Round 2 - Jerod Mayo LB (Tennessee)
Once again the Patriots go to Tennessee and this time to the big school in the state and pick what appears to be an outstanding future pro.
Round 3 - Tyvon Branch CB (Connecticut)
Picks up an area kid who has some very nice skills and I think Cornerback will be on the top of the early selections this year despite what many think.
Round 3 -Cory Boyd HB (South Carolina)
The team needs to find Kevin Faulk's future replacement and I think this guy may be a good fit and maybe even give Evans some good competition at HB
Round 4 - Fred Davis TE (USC)
The tight end position is a little weak and from what I hear Davis may be a decent blocker and what the team needs in a TE since the departure of Graham last year
Round 5 - Adam Kraus OG (Michigan)
From what I hear he has good hands and is very quick,Just the type of guy that might help fix the erratic right side of the line.
Round 6 - Mike Dragosavich P (North Dakota State)
Chris Hanson is NOT the guy I would like to see as the punter on this years team and I think this guy in the late rounds may be a good choice.
Round 7 - Bryan Kehl LB (BYU)
Bryan is a versatile player who can play defensive end or linebacker - Just the type of guy BB loves to have on his team and if he is still available in round 7 its a good choice for value.
