Just played the game on All-Madden with 5 minute quarters. Just an embarrassment. The game started off decently enough, the Giants exchanged touchdowns with the Patriots to make it 7-7. Brady tossed a TD to Moss, Giants ran it in with Jacobs. Then the Patriots scored again to Moss. And then again to Moss with a bomb as time went out in the first half. The Patriots led 21-7.
The Giants got the ball in the second half, but fumbled. The Patriots gave it right back however, but only allowed the Giants a field goal. The Patriots then took the ball on their first play of the second half and ran a perfect flea-flicker to Moss for their fourth touchdown connection. It was not until the fourth quarter that Manning threw his first INT, but the Patriots capitalized with the short field. Although they fumbled, the call was overturned and on the next play Brady connected to Watson for his fifth touchdown making it 35-10.
This is where it just got silly. Manning threw a pick to Asante Samuel who returned it for a touchdown. Then, on the NEXT drive, Rodney Harrison scooped up a fumble to make it 49-10. This was with about 2:30 left to play. Manning is sacked on the first play, hit on the second play and almost picked a third time, and hit on the first play and only completes the pass because Samuel went for the pick. They get the first down and it's the two minute warning. After a incomplete pass, Manning connects up the middle to Toomer for a huge touchdown pass. 49-17 and the Giants just kick it off normally, basically conceding. We run it three times for a first down and then kneel it to run out the clock. The Patriots win the Super Bowl, 49-17.
Randy Moss is announced the MVP with five receptions for 199 yards and four touchdowns. Brady tossed for 303 yards and five touchdowns and a 66 completion percentage. Eli was not half bad, throwing for 245 yards and one touchdown, but two picks hurt him. Brandon Jacobs out-rushed Maroney 54 to 43, but also had six more carries. Rodney Harrison led our team in tackles and also had the fumble recovery for the touchdown.
