Please note that as of now the Patriots dead money in 2015 is $4,616,819. As of now the Broncos dead money in 2015 is $928,854.

Remember where you saw these numbers first as it would not surprise to see them later in the national media especially since there will be stories claiming that the Broncos went all in this year or that the Broncos screwed their future with their 2014 offseason moves.

Is it fair to say the Broncos only screw themselves if they keep the players they signed for big money once they are in years three and beyond? If I remember correctly all of the deals were backloaded and we thought the players were nuts for signing them.

Also, won't your numbers change quite a bit once/if the Broncos extend Von Miller, D Thomas and J Thomas? As I understand it, we have more contracts past 2017 than the Broncos do currently.

I believe that, with the exception of 2010, the Broncos have been in either 1st or 2nd place every year since 2006 (tied for 2nd record-wise, but in 3rd on tiebreakers), and they were 13-3 in 2005.

Broncos are only to keep those players at those cap numbers if the players are worth it. If not, they release the player with very little dead money.

Yes. My numbers would also change a bit once/if the Patriots extend McCourty, Revis, and Solder.

As I understand it, we have more contracts past 2017 than the Broncos do currently.

Pats have 1 player signed past 2017 - Gronk.
Broncos have 1 player signed past 2017 - Talib.
