More evidence the preseason doesn't matter all that much

Notes: In a stunning move, the Jets released veteran RB Jesse Chatman, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night against the Eagles and led the team in rushing this preseason with 164 yards and a touchdown on 51 carries, according to someone with knowledge of the cuts. That person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the cuts aren't officially announced until Saturday.

Let's see how many more preseason HOF's will be released this weekend.

164 yards on 51 carries is 3.2 a carry. Hardly "preseason HOF" average.

Also, carrying the ball is ONE of a RB's assignments. Maybe he sucked in the passing game, or in picking up the blitz. This means nothing.

I don't think the preseason means much, and strawman arguments like this make me look bad for thinking that
