We've won 10 plus games now since 2003 and have been tied for the division lead every year since 2001. Not to mention we have three championship trophies in that same span, but with three straight trips to the AFC Title game, most of us (myself included) can't help but want more. Yes, we are spoiled. We realize we are in the 'good old days' but oh man that FOURTH would just be something else. When we have fallen short it's always been heartbreaking, but there is another team that I think feels our pain.........
....The San Francisco 49ers. After all, they too, have made it to the NFC title game the past three years and do not have a Super Bowl trophy to show for it. In fact, they don't even have a Super Bowl since the turn of the century (at least the Pats have 3). Furthermore, the 49ers arguably have had better teams all three years (like I said, ARGUABLY). I'm sure they feel just as bad that their team hasn't cashed in on Super Bowl glory in the last few years.
Sure, we had the Welker drop, but you could argue the 49ers have had worse luck. Muffed punt returns allowing NYG to score on a dominant defense, a non call on 4th down in the Super Bowl, and a first down interception on a would be game winning drive against Seattle.
What do you think? What fan base should be more disappointed?
