We've won 10 plus games now since 2003 and have been tied for the division lead every year since 2001. Not to mention we have three championship trophies in that same span, but with three straight trips to the AFC Title game, most of us (myself included) can't help but want more. Yes, we are spoiled. We realize we are in the 'good old days' but oh man that FOURTH would just be something else. When we have fallen short it's always been heartbreaking, but there is another team that I think feels our pain.........

....The San Francisco 49ers. After all, they too, have made it to the NFC title game the past three years and do not have a Super Bowl trophy to show for it. In fact, they don't even have a Super Bowl since the turn of the century (at least the Pats have 3). Furthermore, the 49ers arguably have had better teams all three years (like I said, ARGUABLY). I'm sure they feel just as bad that their team hasn't cashed in on Super Bowl glory in the last few years.

Sure, we had the Welker drop, but you could argue the 49ers have had worse luck. Muffed punt returns allowing NYG to score on a dominant defense, a non call on 4th down in the Super Bowl, and a first down interception on a would be game winning drive against Seattle.

What do you think? What fan base should be more disappointed?

We should be, because our window will be slammed shut as soon as Brady retires,
whereas the 49ers will remain in contention for the rest of the decade.

I have no problem with wanting more but I dont think either fanbase should be disapointed with the product they are getting. We both are being treated to some of the best football the NFL has to offer.

Tough call on which team is in a more urgent position. I would lean toward us as Brady only has so many years left but this is the more stable franchise and I suspect will be competing at top levels long after Brady not the 49ers are unstable but the last 20 years the Patriots have proven to be the most stable franchise in football.

So you're saying Brady won't still be playing at the end of the decade?

It's a cliche, I know, but we did go 11-5 without TB. And presumably his new replacement will be superior to his old replacement.

There is no reason to be so pessimistic about life after Tom. This team has shown the ability to develop quarterback talent. Now, if you tell me BB leaves at the same time, then I will jump with you.

The Jets.

Even if they win they're still Jet fans.

The 49ers have arguably an even bigger problem with next year's crop of FAs than the Patriots do, let alone the rest of the decade.

How do we know that? Look at the last two Super Bowl winners. Two good, but not great QBs (and that might be generous for Flacco). The Pats may not replace Brady with another elite QB, but they might replace him with a QB who is good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Sometimes I wonder how Brady would do if we traded him to his childhood favorite 49ers.

That team would be pretty unstoppable.

Screw the 49ers, their fans and their whiny head coach. Damn cheaters.

I don't really feel all that disappointed. Of course we could have won a couple of more LomBrady trophies and that would have been great, but we have the best team in the NFL over the last decade, led by the best QB and head coach in the business. We will possibly get another chance down the road too. Hang in there.

We have it worse because of the stupid killer injuries to future HOF'ers and other pro bowl caliber guys. They've been mostly healthy, just haven't made the plays when they needed to. We are stuck contemplating what if for the 3rd straight friggin season and wondering who's going to bite the big one next year around this time. We are snake bitten.

Im confidant in kraft sr to hire the next coach. when hes gone then talk about jumping.

Yah, there's something about Jonathan that seems squirrely to me.
I hope I'm dead wrong, but then again, I may be dead by then anyway.
