From today's Globe.. looks like two of the most respected writers in this area, he and Curran agree on Harris..

24. New England (from Seattle) David Harris, LB, Michigan

With starting linebackers Adalius Thomas (29), Tedy Bruschi (33), Mike Vrabel (31), and Rosevelt Colvin (29) constituting the oldest starting group on the roster, the Patriots have a chance to get younger while adding a player whose skills are a fit in the 3-4 defense. In addition to having pro size at 6-2 1/4, 243 pounds, and showing a knack for shedding blocks -- a key trait for inside linebackers in the 3-4 -- the intelligent Harris also scored highly with teams in his interviews. If Miami's Jon Beason somehow slips, the Patriots would pounce. Top needs: LB, DB, WR.

28. New England Anthony Gonzalez, WR Ohio State

The Patriots would prefer to trade this pick for one next year. Of the receivers on the board, Gonzalez projects to fit the best in the Patriots' system because he has shown the ability to separate in tight space, and gets in and out of his cuts well. It's not a position the Patriots would prefer to select in the first round, but based on a weak draft and the lack of value among cornerbacks that fit their profile at this spot, the team locks up a solid player who adds to the long-term health at a position that is filled with short-term options. Safety Michael Griffin, who might miss too many tackles for the Patriots' liking, could also be a consideration. Top needs: LB, DB, WR.
