Miami Headlines - Dolphins Licking Their Wounds After This One
By: Ian Logue

Wondering how they're taking last night's loss down in Miami? Here's a few articles from the media as Dolphins fans are reeling following last night's embarrasing performance in front of a national audience....

Man I really miss that Phins tool AQUA4EVER that I used to own. Today would be SO sweet.

In the comments Miami fans want to fire the ST coach and view Soprano (sic) as starting on the way out. Panic time. Their only legit point is that the wild meowser is dead. Been there, done that, old news.

Nice reads.... Thanks for those links!

The Florida press has pretty much a "glaring" look at Miami in those pieces. Some of the commenters are pretty good too....

What's amazing is the ball washing given to Henne in the 1st half. You would have thought from the commentary that this young QB was WAY better than a young Brady, and now post game the fans and pundits toss him on the trash heap.

Sic Transit Gloria Henne

If you know nothing else about Tuna, his timing is always impeccable. He bails once he senses the turnaround is hopelessly stalled for whatever reason. Their drafting has been disappointing overall. His highly touted staff has underperformed pre-ordained hype. Gimmicks (and even coordinator changes) will only take you so far, and the Miami wildcat has run it's course. It bought them time early on. They were beyond concerned about Henne's development coming out of the pre season. He is what he is, inconsistent, and his floor and ceiling are one in the same. Kinda like Romo. And Pennington. And Drew. They'll still beat up some bad teams, and beat some good teams on bad days. It won't be enough. Especially with that owner whose focus is on fan experience (ever hear BB open a postgame noting the fans deserved better like Sporano did last night??)

Mid season coach firings, always the indicator of a championship team.

That said, didn't that coach's STs by themselves defeat the Jets last season? Seems to me that it IS poor ST alignment strategy exacerbated by the lack of ST demons on the roster. The coach can only do so much with mediocre talent. Gotta admit that STs are a serious point of roster focus with the Pats. What's even better about the 2010 Pats ST guys is that many of them can actually play on offense or defense.
