I think media consensus is interesting, because those guys have more time and access to make roster evaluations than we do. So, looking at a lot of the media roster projections, I'm seeing:

QB -- Most think 3, but a minority think Mallett goes.

RB -- Everybody now seems to agree Vereen & Ridley stay, Reiss' brief dalliance with a Ridley cut notwithstanding. Few see White being cut, although more express disappointment in him. There's a lot of disagreement about which side of the bubble Bolden winds up on. Most seem to see Gray and Finch being cut, but then being prime candidates for the Pats' PS.

FB -- Everybody agrees Develin stays, although some call him an RB or TE.

TE -- There seems to be a lot of consensus now on Gronk/Wright/Hooman.

WR -- Most but not all seem to have Boyce being cut. That's the only room for disagreement about the immediate 53, really; after that, the main issue is guesses about what will happen to Tyms after his suspension.

OL -- Most seem to have the same 9 guys staying: Solder/Connolly/Wendell/Cannon/Vollmer, Kline/Devey, Fleming/Stork. Occasionally someone suggests Wendell goes and/or Halapio is kept.

DT -- Most seem to have Wilfork/Easley/Siliga/Jones/Vellano, especially after Vellano was held out of the Giants game and Siliga's cast came off.

DE -- Most seem to have Jones/Ninko/Buchanan/Moore, although some express concern about Buchanan's injury and think Bequette might have a shot.

LB -- It's obvious who the top 3 are. Most have all 3 of Fleming, White and Beauhertoughfrenchspelling staying, with a minority seeing Msr. B. getting cut toward the PS.

CB -- I've seen almost no disagreement here. 6 CBs make the 54, counting the suspended Browner.

S -- McCourty is a lock. Beyond him, I think I've seen any 3 or 4 of Harmon, Chung, Ebner and Wilson kept, with that probably being the declining order of consensus confidence in them. Chung seems to have had a surprisingly good August.

Special teams -- No disagreement here.
