Matt Chatham As A Jet

He'd have been challenged to make the team again given TBC's development, he may yet win the job down there. I wish him the best, next week.

He's only 29 years old. By his looks I thought he was mid-30's.

Good luck to him in New York.

He was a good team player for us. I wish him well in NY, except when we play them!

He has been named a ST captain for the Jets.

Chatam was a great team guy for us...the only thing that bothered me when he was here was that I felt he was tougher than Feival. I would rather Belichick had given Chatam more of a chance over Feival. Matt's only problem here was he was a tweener for a coach that likes big. If he gets cut along the way, he'll be back.

Given all our injuries amongst our special teamers, I think he would have made it quite easily. Of course, it's all irrelevant now.

Belichick seems to try to give everyone a fair assessment based on what they have done on the field, and supposedly LB is his area of expertise. Therefore it seems unlikely the Pat's had slotted Chatham into a certain role as he claims, but rather were looking for some specific improvement. However the fact that he feels that way is a concern.

I agree. He also would be ahead of Izzo and Davis on the LB depth chart. He really didn't think that he'd get more PT at LB for the NYJ, did he?
