Bingo! If he goes to the Vikings with a good OL and a running game, I think he will do very well. They need a WR but most everything else is there.

If he goes to the Lions- does Scott Mitchell ring a bell?

Can't he be somewhere in between? I think that he's a legitimately good QB, but I don't think that he'll ever be anywhere near as good as Brady is.

I'd vote for an option representing something in the middle of those two extremes. I think MC has shown he has the requisite talent, toughness, and work ethic to be successful in the NFL. He seems to have tremendous upside so IMO he'll do well wherever he goes. I'm just not sure he'll be the next "great" one.

I voted 1 year wonder. Actually, I think he'll be between the 2 options i.e. an average to above average QB. But I don't think he'll ever reach greatness.

Eh, I don't think that he will suck but I don't think he'll ever match the numbers he put up this year.

Scott Mitchell sounds about right for Cassel. He will be a good QB if surrounded by good weapons, but as of now, I think its very premature to think Cassel is a franchise QB. That stat I keep coming back to is his DVOA only being 20th in the league amongst QBs last season. It makes me ignore the stats completely and just go by the eyeball test, at which point I see him as a pretty good in many regards, and lacking in a few areas.

Cassel has the talent, the athletic ability, and the smarts to play QB in this league, and with this season, his confidence grew as well. Does he have the intagibles thought?
