I agree. Most decent teams have shown cracks in their armor and there are a few genuinely bad teams. This strength of schedule nonsense based on last year's standings needs to stop. New year and plenty of new teams that don't resemble last year's version. The Fish have a better record than the Bolts. Which is the better team? The Bills have a better record than the Pats, Fish and Bolts. Would you drop a ton of money on the Bills against any of the other teams? The NFC is supposedly better, but the Cowboys were close to losing to the winless Bungals on Sunday. Every week seems to be a crapshoot in game outcomes.

Well, I can think of teams that I'd expect New England to be manhandled by right now. I think Dallas would probably crush this squad if they played this week, for example. I just look at New England's schedule, and I don't see any elite teams on it. Where we would have put the Chargers and Colts in that list before the year starter, neither is playing that way right now. I can't see a single game on the schedule where I think "Because it's Cassel and not Brady, I really think New England is in big trouble this game.".

It's not that I'm thinking D-Money is wrong, really, so much as I'm thinking he could be waiting all the way until the Super Bowl to see this Patriots squad matched up against an elite NFL team this year.
