Dice-k had a groin injury suffered in January, before the World Baseball Classic, and repeatedly denied it to the Sox brass.. Which explains his sucky season.. Wouldn't hiding an injury so blatantly and then admitting it a year later void his contract? Gonna be an interesting year for the Diceman..

At least it was because he did not want it to seem like he was making excuses. That part I don't mind, it wasn't good to hide the injury but at least he had an okay reason. Maybe that will explain his bad season, and hopefully he comes out a lot better this year.

Well, considering Pedroia, Lowrie, Del Carmen, and a handful of others have all done the same thing, I doubt it.
