There was a lot of posts in the off-season saying it was simply a case of the top 4 DL being so good there was no chance for him or any other guy on the DL to make an impact no matter what he did. Wright's emergence has proven that not to be the case this year.[/QUOTE]
* It's up to a player to force the team, thru practice, preseason and whatever regular season opportunites he gets, to put himself on the active roster and get playing time. TBC had a great opportunity to show he deserved to be a starter or at least play a lot in a LB rotation, but apparently he didn't pull it off. Givens came in as a late rnd DP and played himself into a pretty good starting WR. There wasn't the same competion at WR then as there is at DL now, but it's what a player has to do. Klecko couldn't find a position, but had he learned to play the ILB role well it's likely the Patriots never would have picked up Seau. Instead he got cut. At some point Hill will either make himself more valuable or will be replaced by someone else who can do that. Hawkins came here last year somewhat out of desparation due to DB injuries as a CB, switched to FS and may have moved himself ahead of Wilson, who some thought was on his way to Hawaii.
