I have not heard/read he didn't want to be here but it was reported he was the only Covid opt- out player not to return to the facility for a meeting & physical earlier this month.

That could mean a couple of things but to me it means he wasn't with the program anymore. Time to move on.

It doesn't necessarily mean he had any disagreement with coaching staff or anything like that. It could just mean with Onwenu etc. he saw the writing on the wall. He was ticketed as a cap casualty cut. So it was a money thing.

I would be surprised if there were hard feelings given hw incredibly patient the Patriots were with his illness.
