Mankins Postgame

Last night's game was more proof, IMHO, that Tomlin coaches these players to hit dirty.

From James Harrison's hit on Brady's legs to Polamalu's BS at the goal line to Woodley decking Brady from behind well after the throw.

OT: Anyone think that Tomlin and Omar Epps are long lost brothers????

Thanks, didn't know that happened. Wished Al and Cris had picked up on it.

Too busy making excuses for the Steelers ineptitude, replaying the Ward hit and hoping Goodell would suspend the Pats DBs during the game.

That Harrison hit could be the best thing to happen to Tom this year. As far as I recall, that is the first scary shot he's taken to the knee since the surgery, and he came out fine. Hopefully, this will help him stand in there that extra fraction of a second like he was famous for before the surgery.

Edit: Did anyone see James Harrison's player introduction? He legitimately puts a fright in me. Additionally, he is clearly insane (see the Barack Obama debacle) and a dirty player to boot. Always thankful to avoid major injury when playing the Stillers.

Collinsworth is smart enough to know that his public statements about whether a hit was dirty or not sways the commissioner's disciplinary decision. I thought it was terrible that he didn't do the same thing that Phil Simms did on a nearly identical play in the Eagles-Colts game, which was to effusively state that the hit was accidental and that the player should not be disciplined.

guess he is a little mad.

Maybe he read all the threads and posts about him here, you know, the ones stating BB should bench him, he's not in game shape, he's a traitor...

What a pathetic player.

this needs more publicity

Why does it seem other teams turn into tweenage girls that didn't get to go see the new eclipse movie on opening day when the Pats man handle them?

I would llove to have polamalu on the pats.......that said, someone needs to blind-side him......hard

Pay... this... man.

Couldn't agree more. I'm hoping we finish the season strong (SB or not) and Mankins gets swept up in the "good times vibe" going on in the locker room and on the field and thinks twice about looking for greener pastures.

It's probably a long shot. Business is business and I wouldn't blame Mankins for leaving. But it seems like it's possible if Mankins has a good experience with BB and the Krafts the rest of the season.

Whole OL was dominant. I mean dominant!! Kicked the crap out of them.

It's good to be a Patriots fan in Pennsylvania this week(patsfaninpa)!!!

Yep,Noticed a change from some of the Steelers fans on the streets here just this morning

All those bandwagon Steelers fans put thier Steeler logo jackets and hats away for at least anothr week and brought out thier Members Only ones :bricks:

I live a few hours of North of Philly but this area is predominately Steelers fans

Thanks for posting that.

I think I would support a nice "holding" call on one of our guys for ripping Polamalu to the ground by his hair.

It looked to me like he was trying to push Brady back so the refs wouldn't call for a TD. Players do that all the time when the ball is very close to a TD or first down.

However, he should have used Brady's shoulder or the ball itself as the focus of his efforts, not Bradys head. I don't blame Brady for being pissed off.

i've never really viewed Polamalu as a dirty player. i've always respected him for the most part

I love it.

If Polamalu was 'playing to the whistle' he needs his ****ing ears checked. Glad we put those cheap shot artists in their place. We did a favor to Carson Palmer's family and self respecting women everywhere last night.

...whatever...it...takes.

Let's not forget, it must be nice to come in week 8 with nary a scratch, with everyone banged up from playing half a season, with the added motivation of playing for a contract - I'm just saying it must be nice.

Different camera angle: Mankins running to the rescue....

I loved seeing Tommy spike it into the face of the crowd. Whether they admit it or not, we are so deep into Pitt's friggin psyche after last night, '04 and '01 that those maggots are secretly wearing silver and blue panties tonight.

Thanks, didn't know that happened. Wished Al and Cris had picked up on it.
