Seattle and Denver hmmmm........ looks like the players surveyed were fans of smoking pot rather than of Pete and Fox.

Best defense in the nfl. His team is in the Super Bowl. Why wouldn't they?

#1 the Seahawks over pay there for FA's
#2 Seattle is not a bad place to live
#3 Pete Carroll is a good guy and a good coach
#4 there fans love football

keep in mind #1 on my list is all players really care about but if you have the other 3 its a win win

He lets his players speak their mind and be themselves while still fielding a Super Bowl caliber unit. This is of no surprise. Ryan topped this list a few years ago for the same reasons (except he had an AFCCG caliber unit and not a Super Bowl one).

Carroll has connections he can get them PEDs, Adderall or anything else.

He's a player's coach, no surprise. Just because the players want it doesn't mean its best for them.

The best coaches can be players coaches when they need to and authoritarians when they need to as well. We've seen this in clips where Belichick is featured (SoundFX, America's Game, etc). Carroll has his team in the Super Bowl right now so they obviously respect him.

I gotta admit I am shocked that players would want to play for coaches that are known as players' coaches. I figured they would want to play for the hard asses.

Seriously, would you want to work for a boss who was friendly and let you do your job or a hard arse who will constantly be on you for everything. You may be more productive with the latter, but you rather have the former.

When he coached us he was awful.

He basically admitted as much in his presser this week when he talked about how much he learned from his experience here. I personally still think he's a bit too much of a cheerleader for my taste, but he's got the respect of his team and has gotten them into the Super Bowl. There is something to be said for that...

Good point. My question is this: is there a place were fans don't love football?
The Middle East, primarily. Most of Africa and South America, parts of Asia. That's about it.

Back on topic: I think Pete is popular among players because he runs a loose ship. Same with Wrecks.

My grammar joke fell on deaf ears (or was terrible, either way).

Mr Kraft was obviously very fond of PC. Seattle was in many ways an ideal situation to come into -- super-rich owner, excellent infrastructure, no past record of success -- but he has done things his way and made the best of the situation. All credit to him. I'm impressed with how tough his team have been this year.
