Well we know BB and his ego wouldn't allow for that. He would have to leave all together. I think Mayo would retain some guys and create his won staff personally. I think BOB is leaving after this season to go back to the NCAA. We need fresh new innovative ideas on offense.Maybe Linda can go back to the husband she left when she went with Bill while they were Jets.
The actual best result for the Pats would be for Bill to move to DC and work with his kids while Krafty Bob brings in a new HC, OC and GM. Kraft has always had the golden touch and maybe he can continue that run or pass it on to Jonathan.
Wonder what the letter to the fans will entail after week 18 this season?Never forget
Unfortunately, our season ended sooner than we hoped yesterday afternoon in Buffalo. While we always want to be playing games with playoff implications in Week 18, our expectation was to perform better throughout the season and to advance through the playoffs. We can assure you that no one in our organization is satisfied with the results from this past season.
In the weeks ahead, we will be making critical evaluations of all elements of our football operation as we strive to improve and return to the playoffs next year.
When we welcome you back for the 2023 season, we anticipate presenting you with an improved product on the field, as well as many exciting new features and additions to Gillette Stadium. You have helped create a dominant home-field advantage over the past 20 years and we look forward to creating many more memorable moments in the years ahead.
As always, we are extraordinarily thankful for the support you provide us and the strong foundation our organization has as a result.
With great appreciation,
HeyWo

You don't like mayo at HC? I believe it's in his contract. Mayo turned down some big opportunities to go elsewhere and be a DCWe deserve better than Mayo for a HC we need swing for the fences.
We need an offensive minded head coach. You don't like mayo at HC? I believe it's in his contract. Mayo turned down some big opportunities to go elsewhere and be a DC
Well.. I think mayo is smart guy. He is his own man. He doesn't try to emulate BB like others have. He's young and a smart enough to identify offensive talent. So.if not him then it definitely has to be a proven offensive HC.. and obviously a new QB.We need an offensive minded head coach.
I personally don’t want anything from this coaching tree as well.
Clean break.
Some people will never learn that mindlessly blaming everyone else all the time rubs people the wrong way.Saw some clips with Albert Breer earlier. A couple points:
1. Defensive players have been calling Mac out in practice for doing things he shouldn't do because they'd become turnovers in a game for weeks, but then he does them anyway. So team is has been losing confidence in him over time
2. Comments from "source close to Mac" - has been a thing with him going back to Alabama. When things aren't going well, "sources close to Mac" come out to go to bat for him and tell people how it's not him, it's everyone else.
It's Breer, so he may be full of ****, but he's got a scoop sometimes with the Pats.
I agree. I want an offensive head coach with no ties to Bill. Clean slate. We need an offensive minded head coach.

How do know that? It's not like BB is having him coach offense. And who's to say he'll be picking the groceries if he's the next guy?Well.. I think mayo is smart guy. He is his own man. How don't we know it? Obviously if he's being kept around there has to be something in his contract there gives him assurance to succeed BB. Mayo is just a guy I was thinking not that is absolutely has to be him. I want a offensive HC too!How do know that? It's not like BB is having him coach offense. And who's to say he'll be picking the groceries if he's the next guy?
The problem is Mayo isn't known for really doing anything. I'd prefer someone without any ties to Bill. But if Mayo is the guy, I would hope he brings in an outside offensive mind to reset the offensive philosophy. You don't like mayo at HC? I believe it's in his contract. I can agree with that. An offensive HC with no ties to BB or the organization would be best. I was just mentioning mayo as a possibilityI don’t think any of Bills guys are going to take a job if their mentor is cast out.
Elliot wolf and or Matt Groh maybe the exception
But I don’t see Obrein and or Mayo sticking around if Bill is let go.
Agreed. McDaniel, Mcvay, Siriani, Shannon some of best offensive minds in the league. We need one as our new HC. I'd even take Tannenbaum as GMThe problem is Mayo isn't known for really doing anything. I'd prefer someone without any ties to Bill. But if Mayo is the guy, I would hope he brings in an outside offensive mind to reset this offense.
All this ^ starts with at least a grade school level of QB play. Mac isn’t giving you a chance to improve.
