I've read all the chicken little threads, and all the 'chill out people' threads since last night. Last year, I was one of guys making the kumbaya, 'lets all hug', 'oh we'll be ok, won't we?' threads.
Now, I'm just pissed. It isn't just another bad game. Last night was a frikkin' groundhog day repeat of everything that was wrong last year -- no response for half-time adjustments, forcing balls to moss/ww, vanilla playcalling, BB with too much on his plate, no heart to win on the road, no killer instinct, "bend but don't break".
This secondary is NOT good enough to face elite teams. We do NOT have a pass rush that'll faze the Mannings/Favres/Breeses. The Running game looks no different without Maroney, in fact losing him will probably bite us in the ass. Thank Ja the o-line is holding up so far, we'll see how far that goes with the depth we have. Yet we didn't make a single FA pick to address any of those needs.
All of last season, I was sure the next game would bring improvements. Then I was sure the next season would bring improvements. But every one of last year nagging problems were right back there on the field last night. You know what they say about insanity = doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. :bricks:
