I know it is only six games into the season, but looking at the success of this year's rookie class so far it looks like the Pats were very wise to trade out of this draft. There doesn't seem to be many potential studs at all. Even the solid rookies are few and far between. Other than Adrian Peterson is any rookie drawing any significant press?

Patrick Wills has been a beast.

Lynch is doing a very good job especially when you consider how bad Buffalo's passing game has been.

Others who have played OK so far.

Gaines Adams Tampa

Joe Thomas Cleveland

Jamaal Anderson Atlanta

Dwayne Bowe KC

Michael Griffin Tenn

Anthony Gonzalez Indy

Jon Beason Carolina

There's a bunch of others who are playing roles but not starting which is to be expected.

I guess I may be wrong, but it still doesn't seem that rookies are making as big as a splash as previous years. Granted most of the guys you listed were not players the Pats could drafted at their positions.

Also, some of the guys you listed have not been all that impressive. Gaines Adams has 15 tackles, 1 sack, and a blocked kick. He is starting to come on, but he is ok so far. Michael Griffith has two tackles, no sacks, no PD, and no INTs. I don't think he belongs on this list at all. Jamaal Anderson has 14 tackles and a forced fumble. Again, decent rookie stats, but nothing special.

Lynch had a great opening game, but he is still only averaging 3.7 YPC. He is having a good, not particularly great rookie season. But he has nothing around him.

Gonzalez has been ok, but not a stand out. His best game is a 7 catch, 71 yard game. He is turning into a pretty good possession WR, but not looking he can start just yet. In fact, you can argue that Tony Ugoh is the better rookie on the Colts.

I will give you Willis, Beason, and Thomas. Overall, I haven't been that impressed with this rookie crop and there are few, if any, later round surprises.

The people many of us thought might be picked with the 2nd pick was Lamar Woodley and Poz and both are having great rookie years. Poz is out for the year but proved to be a very solid ILB in his limited playing time. Woodley has been an enormous part of the Steeler D
