Matt Casell is the 2008 starting qb of the new england patriots- ( that was very hard for me to write )


Matt Casell is a free agent after this yr, there fore he would have to be franchised to be traded - better chance to win the super bowl with him, than that happening..

Matt Casell on Sunday will be starting his first game since high scholl at the medowlands, where Brett Lord Farve 's home opener in a very very hostile enviorment- Not to mention the pure hatred we have as pats fans for that organization..


This is not 2001, 04 or whatever.. This is 08 , and in bill we trust will be the motto all season long. But please lets not compare what Casell is doing to what Brady did in 01.. No comparison..

But we will take the 03 approach and do 1 game at a time, and this is a huge game and it will be the biggest game of Matt Casell's life.. He will be a part of the team, not the reason why we win.. he will make some plays ,but until he proves he could do it, we cant say what will happen..

First thing is first the hated jets, and lets go and kick there ass..

There's a chance that Cassel is to Brady like Young was to Montana.

Likely? No.
Would I bet on it? No.
Am I hoping it happens? Yes.

Ok, after further review. Cassell will get all the snaps in practice and will be the man. He'll have a bevy of RB's including Faulk. When he has a lane he will take off (if you have a weak heart, turn away from the screen) and get yardage. Hopefully, Watson will be back to give him another option and protection.
The chip on the Patriots shoulders just got huge. Honestly, there is not a better team to play for the first post-Tom game then the Jets. The pressure is on the Jets and Brett, not Cassell and the Pats.
I'm picking the Pats over the Jets. One game at a time.
