I'd rather be the Pats than the Steelers. You can rebuild IF you nail the QB in two years. Once Ben retired, to the bottom they should have gone. I am **** happy every day that the Pats got lucky, didn't win another useless game last year and got the 3rd pick in the draft. So close to a disaster imo but it was averted. Fields isn't winning an AFCCG never mind a SB. So what do you have in the end?

Steelers have an absolute stud in TJ who is a game changer. Probably a top 5 player in the entire NFL. Patriots don't have anyone near the caliber of player both on defense and offense.

I watched the Steelers today and although Fields had a horrible int in the 3rd, he played stellar when the game was on the line in the 4th quarter. Chargers kept blitzing him and he was able to process and make quick decisions and found the hole in the defense with accurate throws. Something he didn't show in Chicago. Whether he's the long term answer or not, that's really good progress considering how he looked last year.

They also have a HOF level coaching staff who has shown that they can win a SB if they have a legitimate roster.

The yinzers on Steeler nations forums have wanted Tomlin gone for years now... They know the steelers are not going to win... Not going compete for a title...

Its like San Diego under Schottenheimer... Good coach, with good teams, and you knew they would only get so far... Spanos at least had the nutsack to make a move and replace Marty... didn't work out for him, but he recognized what was going on... they were stuck in the perpetual "doom loop" you talk about... the rooneys? perfectly content to sit around with their thumbs up their asses and let marvin lewis mike tomlin drive the bus because they are "competitive"... they won't win anything except a few more games than an average team... but they settle for the good enough...

Fields did find the best option on pass plays several times for 20 + yard gains. This Pitt WR Calvin Austin bears watching. Looks like the Steelers found another gem WR in the 4th round from Memphis.

Didn't realize the NFL switched to a three game season. 3-0 means nothing until you see what their record is after game 17. 3-0 is a good start, not a guarantee of a great season.
