I saw in today's paper that Landry is having achilles surgery. He's also a free agent the end of this season. I know this isn't a sprained toe and his stint with the Redskins was at best mixed, but I still remember his years at LSU. As a safety, at least then, he was the real deal. Someone to consider?

LaRon Landry has not played a full season in 3 years and IMO is not any better then Patrick Chung i dont see a upgrade by signing him

He's purely a strong safety. Can't really cover anyone despite his athletic ability.

He certainly hasn't erased any memories of Sean Taylor.

Everyone here would calling him LaGlass after one season.

I'm holding out hope for Michael Griffin - S - Titans. Former number one out of Texas. Hope he's on a plane headed to Foxboro at 12:01am the day free agency hits. Still want a developmental safety in the 2nd. Who can fill in for a starter in case of an injury.

He's been horrendous this season, and has never put two good seasons together. So at his current "every other season" pattern, a one year deal would be perfect, anything more would be a waste.

I've watched a few Titans games since my brother is a big fan, and to be honest I don't think he's that much better than Meriweather was.

As for Landry, he's clearly a freak and would make any team better, but like others have said he's injury prone, and would probably be looking for more $$ than we'd be willing to give. I don't think he'll escape from money bags Schneider.

Maybe it is me but I like the Patriots safeties.

This is exactly the strategy I'm hoping for. One of the top FA safeties and one more with one one of our top 3 picks. Add that to Chung, Barrett and Iheadabu and I'd be a happy man.

Achilles injuries are a red flag unfortunately. They're one of the worst injuries a professional sports person can sustain.
