It's easy, and only takes a few moments. We were #1 in run defense per carry last year with him playing about half the snaps (and more than half in run downs)He's an admirable man who'd be great to have in the building. Just not on the field, where he's been a liability for at least a year and likely longer. We need guys who either are better or can grow to be better.
and who are these guys? Pharms, Ekuale and Hill? Really? He's an admirable man who'd be great to have in the building. Just not on the field, where he's been a liability for at least a year and likely longer. We need guys who either are better or can grow to be better.
Larry, Mo and Curlyand who are these guys? Pharms, Ekuale and Hill? Really?
I would never complain about getting younger at the expense of playing crappy players. We need to put the best players we can get on the football field. We are down 2 of the 3 DTs. We have no one to replace them. Ekuale is no more than a 3rd down inside pass rusher and pharms is a borderline practice squad/end of the bench guy.I like Pharms and Ekuale but I wouldn't be mad if Guy came back.
But be honest if Guy were here all off-season and summer you'd be complaining about getting younger at the position.
Why do you like Pharms?I like Pharms and Ekuale but I wouldn't be mad if Guy came back.

I thought he flashed a little during training camp practices I attended. And this is his second year making the team time to start contributing. Why do you like Pharms?
He didn’t make the team last year. He was cut and in the practice squad then called up in November and played 90 snaps.I thought he flashed a little during training camp practices I attended. And this is his second year making the team time to start contributing.
Why are you giving up on him without giving him a chance?
How'd he get 90 snaps if he never made the team?He didn’t make the team last year. He was cut and in the practice squad then called up in November and played 90 snaps.
I’m not “giving up on him” I just expect a better starting player than a guy who is 27 years old with 90 career snaps played who went undrafted from Friends college 4 years ago and played in arena football and the usfl. But then I didn’t see him “flash in practice”.
I already explained he was cut, added to the practice squad and then elevated. How'd he get 90 snaps if he never made the team?
You seem to have a hard time with varying your levels of expectations. With you it seems you either are a star or you're useless nothing in between.
Well they made the 53.. so I'd say they must be good enough.and who are these guys? Pharms, Ekuale and Hill? Really?
I concur.. pharms flashed last season. But this off season he seems to have really impressed covington.. I think he and hill give the D line some youth and athletic ability.. don't forget about my guy X... who's a pretty good run defender as well.I thought he flashed a little during training camp practices I attended. And this is his second year making the team time to start contributing.

So when they elevated him another way to say that would be he made the team.I already explained he was cut, added to the practice squad and then elevated.
Not sure where you get that from.
I expect starters to be starter quality
I expect contributors to be borderline starter quality.
I don’t expect the guy who looks like the starting DT to be a guy who would be a long shot to make most teams rosters.
I’m sure he’s a wonderful person and I bet he will try hard. But he is not a good enough player to be the reason we don’t want our starting Dt back.
By 27 years old he should have accomplished something in the sport.
No that’s not what made the team typically means when someone not trying to manipulate a discussion uses it.So when they elevated him another way to say that would be he made the team.
And your making my Point can't I like Pharms and also open to burning back Guy and have varying expectations for them. You don't seem to be willing to make these types of distinction wether that's with Pharms or other positions like OL. Your just upset about 50 mil left on the table so you appear to be taking that out on anyone who isn't a starter in your own mind.
I think you know who is the one actually manipulating the conversation. No that’s not what made the team typically means when someone not trying to manipulate a discussion uses it.
The reason you like Pharms is that his appears on the roster.
There is nothing about him that should make anyone confident that he is a good NFL player.
And yes, we are competing against teams that tried to use all if there resources to field the best roster they could. Of course I don’t like the booby prizes we ended up with by being cheap.
Pharms should be a practice squad guy who might see the roster if there is a need. Today, because we wanted to sit on $50,000,000 he may be DT2.
When I am watching us getting shredded in run defense this year, my expectation is that if he is on the field he plays like a good NFL player. I don’t “like” guys who are around because we don’t have better players so we throw them out there to suck. But ultimately it’s not his fault it’s Bob Krafts and the people he hired and tied their financial hands behind their back.
I’m sure you will be thrilled about him saving 50 million while we are getting ***** slapped week in and week out. I like it better when he spent his money and we won.
I am not manipulating anything. I didn’t misuse commonly understood terms, you did.I think you know who is the one actually manipulating the conversation.
And of course I'm not happy sitting on 50 mil. But you're holding it against Pharms. When the reality is they invested in Barmore and Godchaux and Pharms was probably making the team even before the blood clots and you're misdirecting your anger.
You can ***** about what should have been done with that money while simultaneously evaluating where we are at currently.
I think you know who is the one actually manipulating the conversation.
