Washington must be desperate to move down - we could help them out if they were at 8-9-10 but six is pretty high. Watch for them to flip flop with SF at 11 and get a second and maybe third for the move. long shot - Washington gives us number 6 and next year's third for our two 1sts (intending to turn one of them into more picks). We take Landry or trade spots with Atlanta at 8 in exchange for a second and they take Landry and we grab Willis with number 8 and then have a pick in the second round for a guy with the same kind of talent we could have grabbed at 28.
The Pats will not draft a WR very high, 3rd round earliest, more like the 6th. Why? The only guy on the board who could come in this fall and assert himself in the Pat's present WR corps in Johnson and he's long gone.
Atalnta will be called a lot by other teams - they've got 7 picks in the first four rounds.
The Pats need players that will have an instant impact (ala Maroney) andcan help win now while Brady's in his prime - at 24 that's Brandon Meriweather .
Possible Pats in later rounds
Ray McDonald DE Fla
Jay Moore DE Neb
Boss TE West. Ore
Rosario TE Ore
Bishop LB Cal.
