Last 10 Patriot Playoff Games

I couldn’t understand that either. Sometime I wonder wtf? The formula works out usually but it’s a head scratcher

Yes you wanna see some aggressive playcalling down the field. I feel we can exploit that against the iggles. Yes try and give the ball to the backs as well. Maybe see if you can establish a running game off the passing game.

Indeed. But it's time to stop testing fate. I'd like to see them take the opening kickoff ( pending they win the toss) and score a TD. Maybe even a trick play off the bat.
They aren’t falling behind in purpose to test fate.
It’s like people think belichick says let’s not try until we are losing.

They have had to come back the last two Super Bowls. I am hoping for a stress free super bowl this time around.

I expect it actually. Going by the law of averages they are due for a blow out one way or another. Since the Patriots can't be blown out (as we saw against the Falcons) it will need to be the Eagles getting blown out.

disagree...best teams are in the finals for a reason..they are good. The odds of a very good team blowing out another very good team are quite low.

Yet it happens on occasion. Who expected the Vikings to get blown out right? I don't mean 50-0. When I say blow out i mean more like 33-14 or something. Not total domination but a clear solid win. Maybe I shouldn't have used the term blow out then. The Patriot are 7/7 for competitive super bowls. It is hard to have 7 1 score game in a row. Generally you need to have things either go really for you or against you at some point.

That is your mental bias vs statistical theory talking. They aren't having 7 games in a row. Only 1. Think of it like coin flips. The first 6 coin flips have already occurred, so the 7th is still 50-50. so there is no reason to say there has to be a blowout/comfort-win (statistically) . . . .

Except for . . . .saying 'Iggles suk' (we hope) and leave it at that.

While I would like nothing more than an exclamation point from a Super Bowl blowout, I think it’s much more likely to be a close game. It isn’t just the Patriots here. With the exception of Peyton Manning vomiting on himself game in 2013/2014, you have to go back pretty far to find a SB that wasn’t within a possession in the 4th quarter.

How many Hall of Fame players were on these dominating teams of the 70s, 80s, and 90s? A lot. With the parity and salary cap, unless one team really screws up badly and loses their collective **** (reminder: Peyton Manning’s Broncos did just that), I don’t think these teams, including the Patriots are capable of winning huge.

I’d have to agree based on odds. I see this being a game within ten points. Now, that may not work out due to turn overs by either side or flukes, maybe freak plays. That stuffs not possible to predict

in their last 10 playoff games the patriots have 9 wins.

In these games they have scored 24 or more in all but 1.
They have averaged 31.6 ppg and scored 34 or more in 6 of 10.

Tom Brady’s average game.
30.2/46.6/329.7/2.5/0.9

Based upon a 16 game schedule that would be
483/746/5277/40/14

Defensively they have allowed 19.7 ppg and
20 or less in 7 of 10.

This team has really become built for the post season.

Really good post.
