He has been so undercompensated for so long. I wish they re-upped him coming off of last season because the longer the clock ticks the higher the price is going to go. He deserves a contract that makes up for his previous one.

Your first two sentences are contradictory: if he had signed an extension then, he'd still be undercompensated.

Stanley Morgan was the best WR in Pats history;

but Wes Welker is the best WR in Pats history

I am old enough to have seen Stanley in his prime. With today's rules, he would be even better. But what Wes is doing is truly amazing. To think that we were getting a hall-of-famer in that seemingly minor trade with the Dolphins... well, that was a crazy notion. It is now a real possibility, if neither side screws up and keeps Wes in the same uniform for the rest of his career.

Stanley Morgan was Reggie Wayne with better hands and more speed.....good blocker,too.He didn't exactly have Manning throwing to him,either.Those teams were run-first.:rocker:
