I wrote him and asked how he could simply ignore what happened ON THE FIELD Sunday night (other than the convenient bump to the top of the rankings). These media types don't even care about the game, the off-the-field crap is what really drives them. This scandal is like Christmas to them, too bad the Pats domination of the Chargers was like a huge lump of coal in their stocking.

Sorry mods, didn't see the other thread, merge if you'd like.

Good. Let him join the ever growing list of jealous haters. And let him end up looking like a fool just like all the other jealous haters as they all go down one by one!

That guy is so full of sh*t. I only got to the point where he talked about erasing tapes.

Good God, this guy is an ass. What would be the point of erasing tapes containing footage identical to what the commissioner has already seen. The speculation of such is just irresponsible gossipmongering.

The media is really milking this story.

Imagine what these sharks would be like if we lost last night!

I e-mailed him too asking him how he can talk about how the 31 other teams are irate at the Pats and not mention how he knows there is a segment of the league who thinks Mangini is a rat. I referenced how he said on WEEI that he got off the phone with another head coach who went on a profanity-filled tirade on Mangini being a rat. That kinda flies in the face of his claims.

Also, he says in his column that by his estimates that between 3 and 10 teams do video spying. Say his highest estimate is right, how are 31 teams irate with the Pats when a third of them do the same or similiar things as the Pats did?

They could be irate that the Pats got caught and now they can't do it anymoe.....

g. Howie, Howie, Howie. Howie Long said on the FOX pregame show he actually thinks this is "people laying in the tall grass'' to get Belichick.

I've never been a Long fan since he was a Raider but I don't know how King can be critical of Long for this statement. If Collinsworth wants to rip BB it's a great point but if Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, Bill Cowher, Don Shula, or Howie Long defend him there's always a reason why they shouldn't.

King isn't being objective on this one at all.

BTW Madden last night said, I believe it was him, that BB told the team that it takes two to argue so he wasn't going to get involved because the Chargers were more important and he asked them to respond the same way.

That's all the explanation I need. What answer could he give that would pacify the lynch mob any way?

I just sent him an e-mail boycotting him for the remainder of the season, both in print and on WEEI. Hope others do the same after reading his crap.

Deb

I found this clip in King's article to be very interesting.

Peter King said:
Ever hear of Steve Scarnecchia? He's the New York Jets director of video operations. Two interesting points on his resume: He's a former video man for the Patriots. He is also the son of New England assistant head coach Dante Scarnecchia, Belichick's right-hand man. And you wonder why we think the Jets might have some blood on their hands.

Since when has King said BOO about the Jets having "some blood on their hands." That would seem to imply that King thinks that the Jets aren't squeaky clean in all this. We know they aren't. We've got proof that they were doing the same thing, though no one in the media has the balls to run with it.

He referred to Derek Jeter as the greatest player of his lifetime. He is obviously a ******ed monkey.

I love how he is so offended by anyone who disagrees with him about the controversy. Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, he's being a tad overzealous?

I can't say I understand your issue with Peter King, at least with this particular article. It seemed rather level headed to me. There's been a lot worse in regard to the scandal.
