Borregales was drafted doesn’t guarantee him the spot over Parker Romo.
Said the job will be earned and best kicker gets it.
One of the closest battles in camp so far.
If either kicker misses during the preseason could be more than significant.
If that's the case we should have kept Joey Slye...not buying it.

No. Him being the better kicker guarantees him a spot over Parker Romo.

we will see, whoever comes out on top I hope is automatic or nearly automatic.

These games should provide all the intel that is needed.
Practice is one thing but nothing beats in game situations.

Trust springer to make the right call either way.

Whoever loses isn't going to make it to our practice squad. There are too many teams looking for a good kicker (Washington just got a front row seat).

We could keep both on the 53 and make a trade a day or two after the final cut. A team might be more inclined to give us a pick after they see who they can get on waivers.

This would make little difference to the final roster since we are very likely to be waiving at least a couple of players in order to take players on waivers or even to trade for a player.

Maybe. That's a lot of work for a likely 6th or 7th draft pick.

Folk is reliable as rain, clutch and steady as a rock. I really regretted when they released him.
If the camp competition is a tie, I think you keep the draft pick. Younger and less money

It's really not that much work to cut/trade a player a day or two later.
Yeah, it just depends on how much they are worried about losing whoever that 53rd player is on the roster that they now have to cut in order to keep a second kicker.
