So I've been to other forums and seen comment sections around Celtics talk and just wondering what some here think...
Do you want Kevin Love?
My perfect price for Love is #6 + #17 + '16 BKN + Sully + Oly + Wallace
This way, Flip gets 3 legit picks, a budding post player and a possible decent player and we get Love and get to lose Wallace's salary which can set us up to make a run at Melo or just pay a very good role player and make us a solid playoff team.
Other people believe that Sully is a future All-Star, bold and I don't see him being better than Love, or they want to build through the draft with the picks.
The building through the draft scares me because if BOS doesn't get Love, Rondo is gone and its really blown up a this point.
The problem with building thru the draft for me is that we want become contenders for another 4-5 seasons and that's IF those picks pan out for us. I don't want to end up like Indy and not make the playoffs for years then slowly build thru the draft and finally think you have it together then implode and find out you aren't good enough. Or we could become the next Cavs or Bobcats are just suck forever.
I think that trading, reasonably (no more than 3 picks and Sully/Oly for Love), is the best way to go. We don't even need to make the next Big 3 this season. Just stick with Rondo and Love and make the playoffs and look to find a 3rd star over time while still winning ball games.
Just my opinion, what's yours?
