I have seen this comparison on the web more than once - I am not sure if the comparison is true but from what I read it looks as if this kid has the same type of tenacity in hitting the guy with the ball and looks all over the field at the opposing offenses setup before the snap with the same intensity Rodney has done.

I think Kevin is expected to be drafted in the 4th or 5th rounds - This guy may be the sleeper of the draft at SS if these comparisons to #37 come true to form in the NFL

Anyone for Ellison as a #4 selection?

(Damn!!!!: many of those players from the 2008 class at USC are talented! )

He hits, he doesn't cover. Rodney may have had a reputation for not covering, but he's proven that a canard man-to-man on Gonzalez and others.

Yeah...as unathletic as people say Rodney is, he's head and shoulders above Ellison...and I mean today's Rodney, assuming full health. Jonathan Casillas or Kevin Malast seem to be better options if we want to make a small linebacker into a safety.

The next Rodney Harrison is almost as tiresome a phrase to me as the next Mike Vrabel.

Give me Patrick Chung or Rashard Johnson.

Give me Taylor Mays................

Trade one of those 2nd rd picks for a #1 next year and manuever to get Mays....

Does anyone know what Rodney ran in the 40 before getting drafted?

Harrison is an underrated pass defender. I've seen him lock down guys like Antonio gates. He also has the most ints and sacks of any DB in the playoffs.

Another guy to keep an eye out for is Nic Harris of Oklahoma. Played safety in college but experts say he is better in a tampa 2 defense as a weak side LB. He did look pretty solid in the senior bowl when put in coverage. Maybe Belichick can turn him into a S/LB hybrid like the Tank Williams Experiment.
