Where and with whom their careers started with is another apples and oranges attempt at comparison too...

Maybe he should attempt a comparison of their last 2 years and 6 games too just for chucks...

Edleperson is a great guy and a solid backup for an otherwise irreplacable guy and a solid ST player. He has however struggled to stay on the field even with limited touches. He misses more games in a season due to injury than Wes has in his career... If they are foolish enough to attempt to replace Welker with Edleman because of contract requirements, I will prove once again I am far from the blind homer some love to portray anyone who calls them on their contrarianism as...

I like Edelman's game too. While it doesn't help that he's the poor man's Welker, I think he can contribute to the offense. Definitely want to see him instead of Welker returning kicks.

I like Edelman too but I don't see him being able to crack the starting lineup. I think he'll have to settle for contributing on punts and kicks for now. The Pats are just too talented at the TE position not to use them as much as possible, that means more 2 TE, 2WR, 1 RB sets. Right now Ochocinco is already underutilized, averaging less than 30% of snaps, there arent really any snaps left over for Edelman and Price. Two young guys with some potential but who are nowhere ready to bump off either Welker or Branch.
