Ok, before I forget them all, here are the highlights:

Myself and three guys from from a Youth Centre I volunteer at made the loooong drive (with no air conditioning and a stuck a window) from Norwich, Ontario to Foxboro, by way of a day in NYC. I enjoy visiting the city, but why anyone would live there is beyond me.

We arrived at camp Saturday morning and were immediately excited. Three of us have visited the stadium before (still not for a game) but it was just as amazing to see this time around. We found some space on the grass and began to sweat.

It was really, REALLY hot. I'm from Canada, but we live on the same stripe as Boston and Northern California. I would occasionally hit the metric/imperial converter in my car to make it feel cooler on the drive in ;o)

Anyway, morning was spent mainly getting our bearings and avoiding the lure of $4 Gatorades.

Things from the afternoon session that stood out:

- Maroney looks great returning kicks and did ok in blocking drills. I think he has a good year in front of him.

- Edelman flubbed a return and aced one. As a receiver he looks brilliant and his agility is very impressive.

- Kevin Faulk seemed to be having an off day, dropping passes and getting lit up on blocking drills.

- Fred Taylor had one of the longest/best blocks of the drill, and was also looking good in light n' easy running drills.

- Saw Moss catch two balls and also saw him and Welker make simultaneous catches. Welker looks amazing out there.

- Galloway is still fast. Real fast.

On D I was excited to see Butler and Wheatley flying around out there.
I also noticed 3 TE's in on ST drills (returns), which I sort of expected.
I saw a couple of players make what would have been sacks, but I missed their numbers.

Anyway, all in all, a fun experience and all signs seem encouraging. I definitely don't think it's ridiculous to say that if Brady is Brady, we could have a better offense than 2007. Defense though... time will tell.

Also, I um... "stumbled" across some video of Edelman muffing a return and nailing one, if anyone is interested.

A couple of other things I noticed, I should add...

To my disdain, Dave Thomas looks pretty good out there.

TE's we're playing a fullback type role in some drills (H-Back?)

5 stars for your thread

I have thought the same thing....Thomas looks good. and I thought I has seen enough of sloth

I hope Maroney is the returner...I remember the crowd rising to its feet most times when Maroney was the returner his rookie year and I want to see it again.
