John Harbaugh ridiculed for bypassing kneel-down to extend 100-yard rushing streak

Don't like it? Stop them from gaining any yards.

Really? With five seconds left? Seems ridiculous. Someone noted that no one has run a play in that situation in like 25 years. I don’t care if teams run up the score…these are pros. But this is different. And what a cheap way to extend a record. It’s already a cheap record since your QB runs for so many yards, and it’s not like a traditional running game to begin with.

How is it different from a team chucking it up big? Or leaving defensive starters in when up big?

Regardless, Denver has more to worry about than this. They look like a team that was finally exposed when they faced a good team.

Let's see how they respond.

At this point, winning the game becomes a classless move...

Same crap BB was given in 2007 for going for it on 4th downs instead of kicking a field goal while up by 3 TDs.

Don't like it, play some defense.
Are you serious? They had the game in hand. What are you talking about?

Stats are for whiners.

What difference does it make how much time is left??? If you can run out the clock whether it's 2 mins or 5 secs make absolutely no difference.

Again both the offense and defense have the same amount of time in a game, so just stop the offense if you have an issue with them gaining yards.

As a paying fan I would rather see 1 more play where the offense goes against a defense, versus a "victory firmation".

Sarcasm, I am being pretty blatantly sarcastic that winning a game is now a classless act.
No, I clearly got that.

They weren’t securing the game by running with 5 seconds left.

It’s fkn stupid. Wonder how important that record would’ve been had another back of theirs gotten injured.

Fangio should be careful opening his mouth in Big John's direction. I recall a time when someone did that and then got suspended for 4 games. Don't think Fangio will be able to win the Superbowl as payback.

Donks fans are calling for the 3rd string QB if Teddy can't go on Sunday. Lock was fing brutal.

I can tell a lot of young posters in this thread

they forget 07 when BB was ridiculed for passing in red zone up 45-7 in 4th quarter and going for it on 4th down

Patriots got Gronk the TE yardage record in 2011 by having Hoyer throw him a 22 yard pass instead of kneeling on it.

Not the decision I'd make, especially for such a trivial record, but I really don't care. Unwritten rules are why baseball sucks.
