Joey headed to Fins

Nobody holds all the cards. Harrington can refuse to renogiate and foil the Lions plans to trade him where they get value. Detroit can also say they will hold him until June 14th and basically take away his leverage because he will then have to decide if he wants to be a factor in the NFL this year. If he does, he has to go where they want. If he doesn't, he still has to hope that Saban waits for him, which I doubt he will.

Both sides have some cards to play. Of course the agent is holding 2/7 off suit because he is holding the horrible Joey Harrington. The teams cards could be pcoket aces but since they are being played by a man who is deaf, dumb, and blind it doesn't really matter.

On second thought, since we are talking about one of the handful of biggest stiffs ever to play the QB position, does any of it really matter?

it matters because it's FREAKING HILLARIOUS. "Respectable sources" and experts are picking these guys to win our division, and Fins fans are acting like they've just landed Steve Young.

p.s. we can throw the "cards" out the window, he's not going anywhere other than Miami...if Saban does it in the next 10 days, it means Culpepper isn't ready to go...if Saban waits til June, Joey will be watching on the sidelines. Not that it matters, just sayin'.

I'm amazed you continually insist this means Culpepper isn't ready to go. the fins have only culpepper and lemon on the roster, of course they need another QB. Miami is just covering in case Culpepper isn't ready but this is hardly an admission he won't be. In any event, the fins have always maintained Culpepper may be ready to open the season but might not be. Harrington, if you took the time to read anything, has said he understands his role in Miami and no one could possibly believe he thinks he's anything other than a #2 once Culpepper is healthy. Either way, Harrington makes a great back-up even if he has to play the first portion of the season. He's as good as Gus and could be better. I've already brought up why Culpepper should be better than he was last year though you left that unaddressed. I'm not getting into a debate about who's favored in the division since there is still the draft and who knows what other injuries might happen but to think Miami isn't better off at the QB position is a bit misguided.
