JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

If neither team takes the field and both forfeit; is it a tie?

Probably. Although, the real winners might be mothers of beta-male Jete fans who force their adult sons to shovel snow or go Christmas shopping vs. watching the game.

I know the NFL is a QB league and you need to keep trying things till something works, but OMG is that a bad idea. Carr was just meh when he was healthy, but now he's damaged goods. There'd be no point in trotting him out just to watch him retire again once he got hit hard enough to remember that he has cash in the bank and doesn't need to be doing this to himself any more.

Is it really that hard to find SOMEONE who can play QB in the NFL? The 9ers found Purdy in the 6th round and he's better than Carr was in his prime. Better to trot out the next Stidham or Bailey than to put the fragile body of Carr out on the field.

A plausible case could be made for the Jete wresting Mac Jones from San Fran. Wouldn't that be fun?

Ssshhhhh. Jete are listening.

Wouldn't it be kinda sweet if the Pats playoff position is locked in before that last game in NJ and we lose it (like the Bills did) and cost the Jets about 4 or 5 slots. On the other hand it would also be sweet if the Pats need the game to lock in the bye, and we kick their ass and win by 30 and all the starters are out of the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

In a sense you might feel some pity for the poor Jets fan, their owner is SOOOOOO loathsome and their team is SOOOOO broken, but then you remember they are all probably Yankee, Knicks, and Ranger fans in their off times and say nah.

Tbh it doesn’t matter how many first round picks the Jets have. They’ll screw it up

The Jete are at a really weird crossroads with five games left -- both the players individually and the organization overall. At 3-9 they probably have already won too many to snag the top QB next draft. Fans have given up, the stadium was less than half full last week. The team's two top defensive players were dealt at the trade deadline; the starting quarterback (Fields) was benched and is now injured (along with other top contributors).

Coach Aaron Glenn likely is still trying to instill his idea of a winning culture while players just as likely are making self-interest "business decisions." Losing won't seem to help them much (re. draft position) unless they lose all five. And winning arguably hurts them unless they win all five to give the program momentum into 2026.

Neither is likely to happen, leaving the team in no-man's land with an appreciably weaker roster than it entered the season with. Sure, they have additional high draft picks from the trades but whether they pan out is a crapshoot. It'll be interesting to see how things play out but my money is on suckage triumphant as the Jete currently define a rudderless franchise in limbo.

I wonder what draft capital he'll command? More than the 6th round pick the Pats got for him. Perhaps a conditional pick for a Day 2 pick that turns into a Day 1 if he remains a starter? He's on a cheap contract for next year. I can see the Jets salivating over a name like Arch Manning already so almost no risk trading for him even as a one year stop gap aside from the lost draft pick - though they've got lots of them.
