And now Rodgers is bad mouthing the Jets run game, even though they hired his own guy to run that.
Worst trade in nfl history? Pay $75 million for five wins last year?
I'm sure I'll snap out of it.Compassion for masochists is wasted energy.
Don't beat yourself up...I'm sure I'll snap out of it.
It's cheap enough where demanding a trade in 2027 will be viable for the Jets. Pretty smart, get paid AND still be able to get a ticket out of town.Why, oh why, would a player condemn himself to professional tragedy by doing something like this? Guaranteeing a bad injury, or six more QB changes in a row, etc. Don't they understand universal truths?

Arch Manning.I think he is going to hate playing with Justin Fields. The question is who will be the next Jets QB.
Arch Manning.
I know.I don't think Manning is coming out until 2027. If you look at the Mannings, they believe in staying in school all four years to develop for the NFL. And that was before the NIL and it was profitable for them to stay in college. Arch is reportedly making $6.6 million a year to stay in school. He will be in no rush to enter the draft next year.

Aaron Rodgers going down in the first drive (or play?) of his regular season Jets career is almost a bad as the butt fumbleAs its the offseason, I was reminiscing about Years of Jets Suck threads past and getting a little nostalgic for some of my favorite moments.
What's everyone's fondest masochistic moments for the team that isn't even worth our pity?
Some of my favorites that come to mind in no paticular order are:
~The "Butt Fumble";
~The first 30 seconds of the Aaron Rodgers era;
~Marino's Fake Spike;
~TripGate
One that might have been forgotten is how Belichick got the Jets to, shall we say, reach for Vernon Gholston at #6 in the draft given the rumor Belichick started that he was considering Gholston at #7. The Pats of course traded back, picked up an extra pick and grabbed Jerrod Mayo at #10.
Gholston was out of the NFL in 3 years. I mean, the Jets have plenty of bad draft picks, but that one was just plain funny!
And my favorite stat is the reminder that the Jets remain tied with the Houston Oilers for all time AFC East conference championships....
I think the Oilers have a better chance of breaking that tie than the Jets do!
What am I forgetting?

We clowned the Jets so much during the Brady eraI believe the Revis 2.0 has to be in the mix somewhere. To recap:
The Jets watch Revis win a SB with the Patriots.
In the offseason, Woody Johnson tampers with Revis. Despite Johnson’s comments being nearly identical to the definition of tampering and this being a repeat offense for the Jets, the league gives them a slap on the wrist.
Revis signs a 5 year deal with the Jets with $39 million guaranteed. The Jets think they’re getting prime Revis Island for a second go around. Too late, they discover that player no longer exists and instead they got a guy who had achieved all his career goals and was really looking for a sucker to make his retirement more comfortable.
Yes.Aaron Rodgers going down in the first drive (or play?) of his regular season Jets career is almost a bad as the butt fumble
The play was the centerpiece of a disastrous sequence in the second quarter, wherein the Jets lost three fumbles and the Patriots scored three touchdowns in the span of 52 seconds of game time. In that second quarter, the Jets held the ball for over 12 minutes (out of a possible 15), but managed to be outscored 35–3.
The game and the infamous "butt fumble" in particular are remembered as the low point of the Jets’ 2012 season, as the embarrassing loss was the team's seventh of the 2012 season, all but eliminating them from earning a playoff berth. The butt fumble is often considered one of the most inept plays in NFL history and is also ranked as the most embarrassing moment in Jets history by ESPN.
