Cromartie told the New York Daily News that the Chargers hid from him the news that he fractured his hip early in the 2008 season. Cromartie started 15 games for the Chargers that year, many of which were played while he had a two-millimeter crack in his hip.

"They were hiding my injury," Cromartie said Thursday. "They just told me I had a strained hip flexor. I played the whole entire year with a fractured hip."

Now this guy brings up some old stuff from 2 years ago? Right before they play the Chargers? The Jets are really trying to hard.... They really do suck.

Well they couldn't very well take him off the field, could they? Who else could they find that would not-tackle people as effectively as he does?

If cromartie had a stronger body he wouldnt have anything to complain about. Hes been missing sig. time since he was down in Tallahassee and he's overdue for another hangnail that keeps him out a while.

Lets get two things straight:

1) Nobody like Cromartie
2) If he was lied to about his medical condition, that is horrible.

Does anyone have any information on this? Is it true? Is there a news story about this? Did he sue the Chargers over this?

When you have about 50 kids with 45 different women, there's not enough money after child support to hire a lawyer for that kind of thing. I might be underestimating Cromartie though, he's a pretty smart guy and might be able represent himself.

Pretty baffling they'd let him play on it. My guess would be that team doctors legitimately didn't think it was a broken hip. He said he never found out about it until he got a second opinion. Wouldn't be the first team a team's doctors wrongly diagnosed an injury. I struggle to imagine the front office or coaching staff wanting him to play on a hip that was broken.

The cynical side of me says that they might have wanted him to play to get service out of him that year while leveraging to get Cro to take a more cost efficient contract after a poor season. But that only makes sense if Cro was whining about a new contract at that point (I don't remember anything of this nature). He still had that season and two more left on his rookie deal.

Doctor Woods of the Miami Sharks would phony up medical reports to prevent player bonuses.

I never realized that the "missionary position" could be such a bit-h

what a ****, blaming everyone else for his problems

AC is just a total douchebag.

Anyone else hate Bye week? 3 of the top 5 stories on the board have to do with the Jets.

If true, those doctors should lose their licenses to practice medicine. Cro's timing is very suspect, though, and if what he's saying isn't true, he should be sued for 7 figures for defamation.

The Dr Phil show and Jets media encounters have a lot in common.

you'd think he'd have a fractured unit by now...

didn't he father ten more kids in 2008?...how did a 2mm hairline fracture impede THAT?

Ahhh,

Sweet memories of 2007, Cromartie was playing outstanding and was a fan favorite.

It was before everyone knew he was a complete POS.

Loved this show, it was a shame it was cancelled (NFL implys No Fun League on the general public!)
