Jeremy Maclin

If we're going to go the glass route, Nicks will be available and is a better WR than either of those two when he's healthy.

I would drive Nicks in from the airport.

Jeremy Maclin = made of glass we have too many of those on this Team already no thanks.

Prior to his ACL tear before last season even started, Maclin missed a total of 5 games the previous 4 years. Get your facts straight.

Tearing your ACL is the great equalizer of NFL football. It can happen to anyone, at any time.

I'm sure that Maclin will likely end up in NY with Morningwheg. It would make sense for him to try and re-establish himself with terminology/concepts he's already run before.

But I would like to see us take a stab at him...can play X,Y,Z.

Why would Philly let Maclin leave? They have an opportunity to establish themselves as a very good Offense. Giving Chip Kelly and Nick Foles another dynamic playmaker would be an added bonus to compliment McCoy, Jackson, Cooper, Celek etc.

They get outbid? They're looking for something else? Maclin hasn't played in that offense yet or with Foles, so there isn't a rapport to go off of between the guys. He's an unknown at this point, no one even knows if he can play anymore after tearing his ACL. If someone throws a few million multi-year deal at him Philly walks, and rightfully so.

Probably because they are already paying Desean Jackson 10.5m in 2014 and they will likely want to retain Riley Cooper who will want more money, and the fact that Maclin is coming off a big injury which makes signing him long term risky. And on top of that Jackson already is making some noise about wanting more $$.

Maclin is the #1 free agent WR target for me if I'm the Patriots, assuming his knee checks out. He will not cost as much as Decker, Tate, etc. He is also an explosive playmaker who has made plays no matter who is at QB.

I'm on board for Deus' Jerricho Cotchery idea as well as I've always admired him, he's a very nice player.

he's the one good WR that the pats have a shot at signing cause he would take a one year 3 million or so deal but like Deus said he will go back to the eagles or KC the pats system is to big of a hit or miss for a guy looking to sign a one year prove it deal and then go get paid by some other team

I was thinking the same thing. If Maclin is getting a 1 yr prove it deal you would think he would want to stay where knows the system and is most comfortable. HOWEVER, I think the Pats could have a couple of solid arguments.

1. You are the #1 guy on the Pats. With Philly you are behind Jackson and competing with McCoy, Jackson, Avant, Celek and Cooper (if resigned)

2. You have arguably the best QB ever to play the game getting you the ball.

3. Welker, Moss, Brown, Patten, Branch, Givens, Caldwell. All WR's who played under multiple QBs and had their best season/s with Brady.

Same here. That would certainly give Brady more options then he had last season. Maclin, Cotchery, Dobson, Boyce, Thompkins, Amendola, Gronk (when he returns), Vereen, Scott Chandler (my other FA hope).
