um Porter hasnt broke out because he had Jerry Rice in front of him at one point and Tim Brown i believe.

Brown's last 1000 yard season was 2001. Rice's was 2002. It seems if Porter was ready to breakout, he's had plenty of time to do it.

The guy has tools but I've seen nothing that makes me think he is a difference maker that any team should trade something of any value for, not just the Pats.

Donald Hayes was another rare combination of size and speed, and so was PK Sam. And others. The Patriots have had more than their share of rare combinations of speed and size over the years. Quickness and separation ability has worked better for us than speed and size. We prefer the Hines Ward types to the Plaxico types. You are of course free to mourn for Plaxico, and wish you had him instead of Ward.
Did someone drop you on your head? Donald Hayes was terrible. I never said I liked him and was not the least bit disappointed to see Plaxico walk. And I wouldn't take any other receiver than Ward. But feel free to go on nonsensical rants conflating facts.

Dillon wasn't a head case. Terry Glenn was a head case.
Dillon was a head case. Multiple arrests and complained for years that he wanted out of Cincy. I folllowed Dillon a lot when he was in Cincy so doen't try to put lipstick on a pig. Porter is talented but was behind Rice and Brown and then when it became his time to be the lead guy they go out and get Moss.

Not that I'd expect you to know about Hayes, Sam, Dillon or Glenn. Or expect you even to care. I understand your purpose here is to post negative Pats stuff, and accuracy is optional.
Why does every differing opion have to be taken as an attack. In my time on this board I rarely have attacked the Pats players, coaches or organization. I do offer my opinion, which is not the ballwashing that is lavished by some and lapped up by others. If calling me a troll makes it more comfortable for you, go ahead. But you ask any football fan about a Porter for Green trade and they would say it was ridiculously unfair to the Raiders and was a pure fantasy that would never happen.

But you should know that Porter did not play for the NY Giants, and thus you will have to have Rich Gannon be the major cause of Porter not having huge numbers.
Rich Gannon threw short crossing routes, wich is why Rice and Brown exceled with him. Gannon never could throw well beyond 15 yards and that is where Porter is dangerous. In the Raiders - Tampa Bay SB TB just took away the short passes and forced Gaqnnon to throw outs. And he obliged with pick after pick after pick.
I'm tempted to say you should know better but I'm not sure it would be accurate.

Put a question mark will ya? Almost gave me a heart attack.

Guess you don't watch the playoffs.

Substitute Jon Sullivan for Green in that trade, and you have a deal!

See now you know how to make a trade that would be a good deal.

Saying no to Green for Porter? Why don't you just turn down giving a six pack of Bud Light for Porter. Not to say that Green is terrible but Porter is a very rare combination of size and speed. He may be a headcase but so is/was Dillon and that worked out. If it weren't for Kerry Collins Porter would have huge numbers.

Then the Squealers should trade your Porter for that Porter.

Good idea, it has been a while since this team was a 2-14 cellar dweller. We seriously need to start dumping good players for field debris and get back to the good old days.
