Practice report

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium today. The team is in full pads and the weather is cool and wet.

LB Adalius Thomas and DL Jarvis Green were the lone players not present for the media-access portion of the workout, which included stretching and a few warmup drills.

That meant RBs Kevin Faulk and Laurence Maroney -- both of whom did not finish Sunday's game -- were present for the media-access portion of the workout. Also, ILB Eric Alexander (knee) and S Eugene Wilson (ankle) made their first return to the practice field.

Practice squad players Bam Childress (receiver), Tim Mixon (cornerback) and Santonio Thomas (defensive line), along with reserve outside linebacker Pierre Woods, wore black jerseys. That signifies that they were the practice players of the week for their work in the days leading up to the win over the Bills.

I don't even remember Adalius getting hurt.

This deep into the season BB tends to rotate extra days off or portions of practice off to players. It's a long season, particularly if you're planning to still be playing in Feb 2008.

This makes sense. Thomas looked fine. As well as Greene. Hopefully this is just Bill letting these guy get some much needed rest.

Green was limping off the field at the end of the Buffalo game. Al Michaels or Madded mentioned it.

Hope he is OK ...

I saw Jarvis limping at the end of the Bills game on TV...looked like it happened on one of the final plays but didnt see what it was. Hopefully he'll be ok and its just minor

green was just on nfl live, if it was real seroius i doubt hed be giving interviews, that a good sign

Not necessarily. I remember thinking that in 2004 with Seymour on NFLN doing an interview and that same week he ended up 'out' against the Colts in the playoffs

I doubt that Green suits up either way, but I took "good sign" to mean "not going on IR any time soon".
