It might be unfortunate that Jamie's versatility and BB's defensive schemes might keep him from getting the national attention he probably deserves. If BB let him rush the passer 20-30 times a game he'd likely end up with 20 sacks a year, and he'd become a national name with fans across the league. However, playing with the Pats he'll be lucky to get 5-10 rushing attempts simply because he's so valuable in other aspects of the game.

It reminds me of the old riddle about Michael Jordan. Who was the only guy who could hold MJ to under 16 points a game? The answer: Dean Smith (his HC at Carolina)

So I guess the bad news is, Collins is unlikely to ever be the defensive player of the year while he plays for the Pats. The good news is he is likely to be the most important individual player on the defense, and the key to its success....and he plays for us.

Jamie's versatility is his greatest weapon. If he were simple a sack monster teams could game plan around that. Since he can also drop into coverage and cover some of the best TEs in the game (Thank God Gronk is on our team!) that makes him all that much deadlier.
