I would love to bring Slye in to compete with Ryland and the Canuck.

The Pats are bringing in Canadian kicker Vincent Blanchard as part of tryouts on May 10-11. He can punt too.
Bring in Joey Slye for a tryout too, why not. The team should treat kicker as if there is no incumbent.
Ryland should be treated the same as any other kicker, trying out for a roster spot.

As for Zay Jones, now that the Pats drafted two rookies who are locks to make the roster, there's no room.
He had a good season in 2023, but isn't he just another WR3/WR4?
I'd rather give the younger guys the reps and experience.

I didn’t like the idea of having Ryland as the only kicker last year with no comp.
I felt Bill must really believe in this kid turned out to be a bad idea.
Kid still has a cannon but he really has to earn it,
Thank you Ryland for not costing us a Franchise QB with your freak kicks.

This is good - Slye is solid. Not a top 10 kicker in the league but he does not suck. I think a competition between him and Ryland is perfect. If Ryland proves he's fixed his problems and can make the layups while also having a massive leg, he's the guy. Otherwise, Slye keeps the job and will deliver dependable performance.

Perfectly put. Is exactly why I believe juju is expendable. I don't believe that he's suddenly healthier.. Polk and baker will abs put pressure on him.
