Jack Kemp 73 passed away from Cancer today. jack played many a game against the Pats & Babe Parelli in tearly days of the AFL. Shame he didn't make it to the 50th annaversay game this Sept against the Bill.

I didn't know he was sick either. I never knew him as a football player (I knew he was one, just before my time) but I liked him a lot as a politician.

The world needs more Jack Kemps.

The Bills will have much more to think about when they wear the jerseys he donned this year...every time they wear the 1960s Bills unforms they don't just honor those great teams they now honor him. May he rest in peace.

Please no politics here the guy was a good football player who led the Bills to 2 championship in the AFL. They were the team the Good Pats teams of the early years had to contend with. We may have made it to another AFL championship game if it hadn't been for Kemp.

Jack Kemp was the QB and leader of some of the very best teams in the history of the American Football League. Those teams helped close the gap between the AFL and NFL, resulting in more fans taking the AFL seriously and eventually leading to the merger of the two leagues. If the Super Bowl started one or two years earlier, I believe Kemp's AFL Champion Bills would have given the Packers a much more competitive games than the Chiefs and Raiders did in those first two Super Bowls.
