With Spillane, they are fine but were awful when he wasn't on the field.

Run D was terrible with Williams and Spillane out.

I believe Vrabel probably makes another move between now and camp to add another DT/NT to round out depth for camp..unless of course someone already on the roster proves worthy.. I also would like to see Britt have an impact at LB he could allow Spillane rest..

I think DE is upgraded - Jones & Jacas/Ponder will be better than Landry & Chaisson were overall.
DT is even - Either Farmer or Bray (keep an eye on this UDFA) could be effective enough to replace Tonga
Also - Durden &/or Taylor seem to be on the rise
LB is weaker. Not enough depth behind Spillane. I have no hope for Britt or Reese. Obiazor could be a stud, but rookies are hard to count on consistent production. Muma is unknown - but also could emerge as equal to Gibbens.
CB's are even. Prunty may surpass Woods or Dial, but seems like good depth there.
Safety is likely better. I think Byard & Woodson could be great. Pettus solid 3rd. And I really like Saunders as a dark horse over Brown.

Keep your on  Dial.. guy was having a great camp prior to the ACL last year.. I think we have something in him..
