If there is a bombshell, it will not "get lost in the season". It would be a major story and September would be the worst time (from a Patriots perspective) to drop it.

I honestly don't give 2 ****s what is beneficial for Russini or what, if anything her husband does regarding their relationship.

Hypothetical or not, I think he would be better off dropping a bombshell while the story is hot. No way of knowing what is in the media in September. And during the dead period of the NFL right now, it would get the media's and fans' undivided attention.

3. It's a private off field matter apart from the team.
4. Vrabel's got alot of power, say and authority in the organization regarding the team.

Also, the NFL really wants this to go away as it could open Pandora's box with other sharmuta reporters getting exposed with coaches, players, execs. Michelle Beadle's career started to go south with the rumors she hit on Aaron Rodgers at a club telling him she wanted to get "f***ed". There's video of her that night leaving with Clay Matthews. I'm sure they just talked all night about her hopes and dreams. These women become reporters because they are really trying to land an athlete or have some sort of relationship with.

If anyone on this board thinks Vrabel is the only one doing this, then they are really naïve.

I don't think it's a bs story as the NFL wants this to go away because it's threatens the integrity of the "shield". Posters are not taking this very seriously. The breadcrumbs are being put together that Russini had the inside info breaking the AJ Brown trade to Philly. In addition, it's now being floated that because they were close, they he may have received inside info from her.

If story dies down, Vrabel will be in the clear. If new information keeps popping up then it's unlikely Vrabel will still be the coach.

What you really need to understand is that disagreeing with you about what is acceptable doesn’t mean everything is acceptable. It’s just another example showing you don’t know everything, or as much as you think you do. If Vrabel steps down Kraft wouldn't have to pay him. You don't get to re-sign from your job and still get paid.

This story doesn't threaten the integrity of the shield. That's why the league isn't investigating it. On the Vrabel end, there really aren't any professional implications. Russini having the inside track on the AJ Brown trade? So what. Every story ever has to be reported by someone first. The fact it was Russini because of her relationship with Vrabel is really no different to the league than if it was Schefter being fed the info from a GM he had a good working relationship with. All the ethics issues (professionally) are on Russini's side here.

If the story keeps going it MAY be possible that Vrabes wants to spend some time with his family and walk away. But that's very speculative. Absolutely no reason to suggest he's going to be involuntarily termed though.

Absolutely correct!!!!! This has been going on forever.. also to add.. what about the text messages from Sean Peyton to russini we see how that's not getting much attention.. BB had a relationship with a Giant's team employee in the 80s.. difference now is the media exploits anything it can get it hands on.. it's intentional and Stacy knows this... the organization lived through far worse... Hernandez at the top of them.. spygate, deflategate! The organization is playing crisis management and they know things are being down intentional.. what Vrabel should be doing is talking to his lawyers about a potential law suit against sources continuing to put out things to further attempt to harm his character.
