Seemed like on every big Denver rush , he was sealed off. I know he is 37, but if he's playing all year, the Pats are in big trouble. I won't even get into the lousy DB's. This is not a SuperBowl team, playoffs yes, SuperBowl no.

I thought he played a solid game actually.

He's not the best defensive on our roster (Seymour supposedly is, and especially after this game I'm unsure as to why... he's not bad, but I heard his name called maybe once), but I've actually been rather impressed.

He was literally retired and came back to play. Given that, I've been happy with his drive and strength. He pumps up the crowd and team, as well.

Also, didn't he lead the team in tackles tonight??

I thought he played ok last week, but overall i would rather vrabes and bruschi in the middle with TBC and Colvin outside. He takes some really bad angles like the one on the Plummer first down run. I think his role needs to be diminished and TBC needs more time.

Of course the coaches know more than me but that is just my opinion

They all sucked tonight. Wilson, Vrabel and several other wiffed on tackles tonight.

Seau was the least of our problems tonight really, the big play killed us. Javon Walker sure looks nice for a 2nd rounder right about now.

+1. Vrabel at Seau's position and TBC out there makes us a better team.

The Seau signing is one of the few moves we've made in the offseason that makes sense at the moment. He looked like he didn't miss a beat.

I've watched Seau lately. I was at the game tonight too. He is handling the pass coverage well but I've watched him getting his ass handed to him on the run. He's making tackles but their 6 yards down field. He's also getting caught on trap blocks a lot. I give him credit for getting in there but I wish we had someone better.

You cannot put this loss on the defense. Sorry, with any help from the offense, it's a dfferent outcome.

JR looks good to me...yes, 37, but he is doing better than I thought he would.

I thought Seau was fine.

I remember seeing him making a play where he penetrated the line and was able to bring down Bell all by himself. And then he jumped up and machine gunned the entire stadium.

His play was solid and is the least of our worries from that game last night.

I thought he played pretty good.
He had good penetration in a few plays and always cleaned up they broke through.

he is not the problem tom put the defence in after 3 and out so manytimes and 3rd they were done.Playing d is harder and tiring .

from some of your thread i would think they would call beisel back or something.

It's you...............Seau has been DAMN GOOD! Thats been a tremendous pickup now only if the offense can maybe get some WR's. The secondary is where the defense is suspect.

Only 1 TAKEAWAY in 3 games and that one was a game ending Hail Mary type play.

The first two numbers are tackles and assisted tackles.

Seau had a lot tonight.
Brady had over 300 yds passing too and most of them were as meaningless as Seau's tackles. If you haven't already, rewatch the game, especially Denvers long runs and keep an eye on Seau. Just because he's better than Beisel doesn't make him any good.

We were all panicking about the LBs and from what I've seen they are fine this year. Seau is a big part of that. He stepped in and didn't miss a beat. That being said, I am worried that he's playing too much and will wear down. I want to see more TBC as well.

Seau has only been here for what 3-4 weeks? By midseason watch out. He seems to be a quick study and I think he will better then anyone else out there that the Patriots could of grabbed. Yeah having Vrabes and Bru inside is nice but have you seen how many times Banta Cain wiffs on tackles and sacks? There is give and take with whoever is in there so you gotta take the good with the bad.

It's not just you. Why do you think nobody else wanted him?
