Earlier this year Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski was given the franchise tag designation, with the veteran signing his tender back on March 6th that will see him earn a guaranteed salary of $4.6 million for 2015.

If you have one of the best kickers in the league at a relatively young age, you keep him.. especially with the new rule changes for extra points
 
Hope so. The way the salary cap is going long him up as long as you can. By the end of the contract the deal will look good.
 
The Ghost has been money, and lets not discount the fact that pretty much every kickoff lands out of the back of the endzone.

Fortunately for this team we never even have to think about our kicking game.. which is the ST phase, and keeping it that way is a good thing..

I would give him a very long competitive contract..
