I'm not too hot about Greg Hardy because of his injuries and inconsistencies. All of those things are forgotten when I see Greg Romeus. The guy is a force.

I haven't seen Jeremy Beal, or Austen Lane. Surprisingly, I did see Brandon Graham play against Michigan, but I was more concentrating on Clausen and Tate. I can't make an assessment on him but I've heard great things.

Dunlap is a no no. I've seen this guy play and have had to check to make sure that he was still in the game. That's way too inconsistent. Something about that kind of effort reminds me of Vernon Gholston. I'm not saying that the players are alike, but Gholston made me wary of workout warriors with poor motors.

Also, that guy's DUI was crazy. He fell asleep in his car, with the engine running, under a red light. That's incredibly dangerous and stupid. He may have cost his team a shot at a national title.

I haven't seen Jason Pierre-Paul, but I'll take your word on him.

Jerry Hughes is a guy that I definitely have to see play. I've heard guys on this board talking about the guy and I just have to see for myself. Let's hope he lives up to the hype in his bowl game.

At the end of the day, let's hope Bill chooses someone good on this list. We desperately need help.

I agree with you about Dunlap - too inconsistent to warrant a 1st round pick. Jason Pierre-Paul has freakish ability, but he is very raw and doesn't really seem comfortable with his body right now. He plays slower than his timed speed would suggest, and doesn't really seem completely in control. I don't think I'd look at him earlier than the late 2nd round. Someone will jump earlier.

Greg Hardy is the real deal if he could stay healthy and consistent, but those are 2 very big if's. I doubt I'd take him in the 1st round, but in the 2nd he might be an option.

Romeus, Beal and Mason are the 3 guys I obviously like. The other 3 guys who I consider really intriguing are Jerry Hughes, Brandon Graham, and Eric Norwood. Graham may be just a 4-3 DE, but his motor and drive are enticing. He's strong against the run; not sure he can play in space. Hughes also has a great motor and is a fabulous pass rusher, but I'm not sure he can set the edge. Norwood can do both, but he's on the short side for a BB OLB. But I wouldn't rule any of those guys out.

My current fantasy is that we get 6'6" bookends in Greg Romeus and Austen Lane in the 2nd round, and bring in a FA to help school them.

here is my take on crable one i don't think he has been hurt bad a nuff to be put on IR two years in a row but i won't go down that road lol

the fact is the pats want him to get biger uper and lower body so he can set the edge vs the run


so you will see him come in to TP next year at 260lbs the bad part about that is he will just be a big fat edge seter after that he will loose he's speed

crable. is just a 3rd down pass rusher noting more, but he's not a starter. and if you can't set the edge in BB's. D you will not play OLB for him so untill they find a willy mac, or vrabel. that can both set the edge and rush the QB we will not see the pass rush get better

Well you can't really be sold on him at this point either, can you?

I do think that a top 3-4 lineman will help the OLBs get room to rush, but it's speculation. That's why i said either position.

I'd say Crable is a nonentity until he shows something including the ability to stay healthy.
